 About the pledge

Out Bristol is asking all politicians, organisation’s and people of influence to support the pledge to help Bristol’s  to become a beacon for social equality for the LGBT communities.

LGBT  people make up between 5-7% of the population, Bristol City Council is an urban area and as such accepts the 7% population figure, Lawrence Hill Ward is the ward with the highest LGBT population with 10% of the LGBT figure.

The LGBT population faces high levels social inequality in area such as safety,hate crime, education, social mobility, physical, emotional and mental health, housing, access to services and employment.
